Luminosity

The “pulse” of the training. The Fire module represents the inner flame we have residing in all of us and an exploration of the emotional aspects of yoga. Understand how to hold space to create a safe and supportive environment for students.

Topics of study:

  • Anatomy/Science ~ nervous system (PNS), cardiovascular & circulatory system

  • Core ~ understanding trauma, leading informed practices, koshas and the subtle body

  • Practices ~ trauma informed practice, restorative, yin, heart centered work, private sessions & special populations

Trauma informed teachings ~ March 15th - March 17th & March 29th - March 31st

Chelsea is the Director of Education at the Vancouver School of Healing Arts and Rhodes Wellness College, in Vancouver (BC, Canada). As an educator and Certified Yoga Therapist (International Association of Yoga Therapy), she strives to empower her students & clients with the education and skills necessary for creating a meaningful change in their own experience. She believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a life that is filled with purpose, connection and growth and understands this takes dedication and the support of a compassionate and caring community. Growing up as a contemporary dancer, Chelsea has always been drawn to the sacredness of movement. She began practicing Yoga in 2006 to heal a dance-related hip injury and quickly discovered that the practice of Yoga runs much deeper than the physical postures. Her courses, classes and one-on-one yoga therapy focus on trauma-informed care, recognizing that establishing safety within one's nervous system is essential for those desiring connection to oneself and others.
